BIOGRAPHY

Clay Anderson is a troubadour - a guitar-playing songwriter and musical storyteller.  Playing since the age of 13, Clay's ongoing musical evolution has been impacted by sounds from Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, '80s rock, and The Grateful Dead.  He delights in composing original songs with a dark edge that sometimes seem cobbled together from two eras, but also likes to reimagine songs from unlikely genres, such as '90s new wave and punk to convert to his "y'allternative" style of soulful, gritty Americana.

Clay has had equal success playing and touring solo and in various size bands, and enjoys playing live venues of any size just as much as he geeks out on the technical opportunities that studio recording provides him.
